Ryan Barnes
Co-Founder and Managing Partner
Ryan Barnes has 29 years of experience in investing, corporate finance, fund management, and operations. He has helped lead and actively manage investments in industries such as environmental (waste management and aerial firefighting), transport & logistics (marinas and fuel distribution), other essential assets (education and housing), and energy transition (renewable natural gas and geoexchange). Ryan’s past experience includes leadership roles at multibillion-dollar global asset management firms and investment banks where he focused on direct investments, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, leveraged finance, and corporate development. Ryan received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Asian Languages from Stanford University where he was also the co-captain of the wrestling team.
Ryan currently serves on the boards of American Aviation Holdings (Chairman), Essential Aviation Holdings (Chairman), Erickson, Inc. (Chairman), GeoTility, Novilla RNG, and Robinson Waste Services (Chairman).
Former boards include Safe Harbor Marinas (Chairman), Flagship Communities (Chairman), American Education Properties (Chairman), Empire Petroleum Partners (Chairman), Inspire Communities (Chairman), and Tunnel Hill Partners.
Ryan is currently the Chair of the Stanford Athletic Board.
